Fines Migration System
Overview:
Our Core Flooding & Fines Migration System is built to meet your research needs and can be used to perform the following tests at elevated temperatures and pressures:
- Miscible flow through sample cleaning
- Vacuum saturation/determination of pore volume at stress
- Absolute liquid permeability
- Dead crude core flooding
- Brine core flooding
- Fines migration
- AC Resistance measurement @ 1kHz allows for determination of Ro, F, & m
- Desaturation using porous plates
The standard system consists of:
- Integrated safety shutdown mechanisms
- 1 x Quick load hydraulically balanced true isostatic core holder for 1” x 2.25” samples
- 1 x 2,000 ml brine injection pump
- 1 x 2,000 ml crude oil injection pump
- 6 x .02% accuracy pressure transducers
- 1 x auto refill confining pump
- 1 x Saturation glassware
- 1 x Vacuum pump with digital display
- 1 x Class A safety oven
- 1 x high pressure inline filter
- 1 x back pressure regulator
- 2 x solid state rapid heat exchangers
- A rackmount control system housing:
- Keyboard monitor, and mouse
- PC with Windows 10
- DAC system
- Measurement Instrumentation
- Real time data acquisition, process control software, graphical user interface with analysis tools
Standard system specifications:
- Operating Temperature – Ambient to 150 C
- Confining Pressure – up to 10,000 psi
- Pore Pressure – up to 2500 psi
- 1” D x 2.25” L or 1.5” D x 3.25” L sample capability dependent upon core holder size chosen
Available options:
- Increased temperature range to 200 C
- expansion to 2 cells, includes:
- Core holders for either 1” D x 2.25” L or 1.5” D x 3.25” L samples
- Additional confining pump and associated transducers, valves, etc.
- Additional high-pressure inline filter and back pressure regulator
- Increased pore pressure capability (up to 9500 psi)
- .008% accuracy pressure transducers
- Multiple pressure transducer ranges available
- Ventilated enclosure for all pumps and components outside of oven
